It's official, Madi is definitely my daughter! She found her voice not too long ago, and hasn't stopped talking since! It's so fun to hear her talk, I thought I'd share a little video:

Li'l Lego Champ

Our local library had a lego building contest, so we thought it would be fun for Kody to enter one of his creations in the preschool category.

He made some Transformers and a Star Wars spaceship. He was the only one to use Mega Blocks.

And he won a gold medal for "Coolest Robot" in his age group! We are so proud of him!

I Heart My Kids

I know that on my other blog I complain a little here and there about my kids, but I want you to know that I really do love each of them very much and I'm so happy they came to live with us! Today I was holding a screaming baby, with the 2 others downstairs fighting and I started to think about why I love them so much (I admit I was doing this to keep my composure). Here's what I came up with:

I love Kody Because
he has the best imagination
he tells me he loves me (and I know he means it)
he reminds me that we are an eternal family
he has a great sense of humor
he remembers everything

I love Mollie because
she can be so sweet
she likes "the boom"
she is so beautiful
she named her doll Kim
she can go from sad to happy in the blink of an eye.

I love Madeline because
she has the best smile, ever
SHE SLEEPS!
she knew I needed her
she hardly ever poops
she is super snuggly

Mid-winter Break!

Daddy had a break from school a few weeks ago, so we took advantage and had some fun! We asked Mom & Dad if we could go to this fun placed that Auntie B took us to while she was with us. It's called the Castaway Cafe and claims to be Michigan's largest indoor play structure - we had so much fun! Daddy even climbed around with us!

A Day at the Races

We had the ward Pinewood Derby last weekend, and since there isn't a cub scout troop it was open to everyone for participation.Kody wanted his car to be Lightning McQueen. Mommy & Daddy helped him build and decorate the car,

and then he actually took 3rd place!

Make a scrapbook - it's easy!

While Mom & Dad were off exploring Roman ruins and old buildings in Spain, we did some exploring of our own here at home! Auntie B came to stay with us, and she had a new activity for us every day! We did all kinds of fun things, and she was even nice enough to take some pictures so that we could share them with you! We had so much fun, and got very spoiled - isn't that what Aunts do when they come to visit?! Mom & Dad called us on the computer every night so we knew they still loved us, but we were having too much fun to be sad that they were gone. We only hope that they will take us with them the next time they go!

The kids were being very cute and snuggly the other morning, so of course I had to snap some pictures! Kody was tickling Mollie and they were both laughing so hard. I love it when they play together!

No, that's not some sort of new Asian food dish, it's just what Kody says sometimes when he's playing with Buzz Lightyear. Have you figured out what it means yet?

Some days he plays Toy Story with Buzz and Woody...and other days he goes Tractor Tipping with Mena (Mater)
and ABueen (McQueen).What a character!

And what about Mollie, you ask?

She entertains herself with balloons from the grocery store...

Kody the Liar

It's a conversation that happens at least once a day (lately it's been more like 5), and it all starts innocent enough. I begin to smell something fowl so I say:

"Who's poopy?"
Kody: "Mah-nee poopy"
Me: "it really smells like Kody poop"
Kody: "no, Mah-nee poopy"

So of course I always check Mollie first (you know, to give him the benefit of the doubt) and find that she's clean. A quick peek at Kody's behind and I know he's lied to me again! He's really quite sweet and honest any other time, he only lies about this one particular subject, but I don't think I'll worry too much about. I just laugh and change him!Does this look like a face that would lie?

How do I look? I got this pretty princess dress from Grandma & Grandpa B for Christmas! I wasn't really in the mood for a photo shoot, because I didn't feel well, so I think Mommy will try again on a better day. I think I still looked pretty, though!

I had so much fun at Grandma & Grandpa's house this Christmas! I played with my cousins, spent lots of time with Daddy

and I got lots of cars and a real life Woody doll! I was so busy, I hardly slowed down to get sick. I wish it could be Christmas all the time!

We went to Grandma's house in Utah for Christmas. I got to practice walking a lot until ...I got sick, then Mommy was nice and held me all the time.

I felt better for Christmas morning, then I was sick again.

We went to the ward Christmas party last weekend and Santa was there! Kody cut right to the front of the line and climbed on Santa's lap. Mollie was the very last kid and she screamed like crazy as soon as I set her down! We all got a good laugh about it, except Mollie of course. The snow is melted now, but the kids had fun while it lasted. I know there will be more soon! Kody was following "animal tracks" all over, really they were his own! Mollie was fine while she was standing, but she got a little upset when she had to crawl through the cold stuff! We only lasted outside for about five minutes - just long enough to take some pictures! Merry Christmas!

My Daddy is my hero, and on Halloween night he proved it! He came home from school and he was Mr. Incredible! He was wearing his clothes over his costume and I was so excited when he showed me his secret identity! We had fun playing superheroes together.
